Apple TV+ has a new conspiracy thriller series to add to its ranks: Prime Target, starring The White Lotus breakout Leo Woodall and Black Adam star Quintessa Swindell. Created by award-winning writer Steve Thompson (Sherlock), the drama follows a young math prodigy, Edward Brooks (Woodall), as he edges closer to cracking a code that could change the world—and finds himself under pressure from those who want to stop him. Teaming up with NSA agent Taylah Sanders (Swindell), Edward begins to uncover a chilling global conspiracy.

The series’ cast includes Stephen Rea, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jason Flemyng, Ali Suliman, Harry Lloyd, Fra Fee, Joseph Mydell, and David Morrissey. Produced by New Regency and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions, the thriller is expected to deliver a blend of cutting-edge drama and gripping suspense. It’s also directed entirely by Brady Hood (Top Boy), bringing an original vision to the high-stakes story.

In an interview with The Movie Podcast, Woodall and Swindell opened up about their respective roles in Prime Target. When asked about his character’s transition in the series from being a genius in his own right to suddenly being wanted worldwide, Woodall said, “It was stressful. Basically the entirety of the series, Edward is looking over his shoulder. I love the way he transitions from someone who only cares about his work and doesn’t care about the repercussions, to someone who is just the complete opposite. It’s a real arc.”

Swindell, on the other hand, discussed that the role taught her to be more conscious of real-life surveillance. “I started walking around on the side of the street, and realizing ‘there’s one camera, there’s another,’” she said. “That also made me curious about how some communities are surveilled way more than others, especially as it pertains to cities in the states. So it made me more conscientious to that, and curious to find out more. What makes our show special is that it really poses that question for its audience to think about accountability as it pertains to tech, and being cognizant of surveillance.”

Will Edward and Taylah uncover the truth before it’s too late? Or will the forces they’re up against prove to be too powerful? Keep reading for all the details on how to follow along.
