On New Year’s Day, Hailey and Justin Bieber offered two different looks into their life together on Instagram. Hailey shared a new pic of their four-month-old son, Jack. Just Jack’s foot was visible in her “HNY” selfie with him. (Justin and Hailey have chosen not to share their son’s face publicly in order to protect his privacy.)
Justin, meanwhile, made a subtle statement about their marriage, following some online commentary about its status. Hailey had shared photos of herself posing in lingerie earlier that day. Justin posted a new shot of her outfit on his Instagram Story. He added a flirty message to his partner: “Um goin anywhere with u bb. Happy new year,” he wrote.
In July, Hailey spoke to W magazine about all the negative online chatter about her and Justin’s relationship. “People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one,” she said, adding she works with a therapist to not let the commentary get to her. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy. I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”
