On Saturday, the last day of August, Jennifer Lopez shared her end of summer photo mood board following a week of social media silence since news of her divorce from Ben Affleck broke.

On both X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram, J.Lo shared pics with the caption, “Oh, it was a summer.”

In the photos, Lopez shared some glimpses from the last few months, which includes pics of a bubble bath, an adorable dog, a new orange kitten, and several inspirational quotes including one reading, “Everything is unfolding in divine order,” and another of a shirt saying, “She’s in bloom and unbothered, out of reach and at peace.”

There’s also several photos of the singer looking stunning, one in which she’s wearing a white one-piece and taking a mirror selfie of her backside, another where she is wearing a white minidress with a red bow at the waist and matching shoes and purse in deep burgundy, and one where she’s enjoying an ice cream cone while wearing a white and mint green dress.

She posed in one photo with her sister Lynda Lopez and shared some pics of her kids enjoying the season with her—and the new kitten.

The news broke that Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20 after they seemingly spent the summer on opposite coasts. J.Lo was primarily in New York, while Affleck moved from their shared home in Los Angeles to another pad in town. The date of separation listed on her filing was April 26, which is the two year anniversary of their wedding in Georgia in 2022.

An insider told Us Weekly that the former couple had been working on their relationship for a while before deciding on divorce, saying, “It was more and more apparent they weren’t a good match,” adding that they tried to “make it work” by going to therapy.

“It boiled down to [the fact that] they are two different people,” said the source. “She came to the realization things weren’t going to change and they were incompatible…Spending time apart—it became obvious it wouldn’t work.”
