On Saturday, Rihanna walked through New York City with boyfriend A$AP Rocky as the couple celebrated the second birthday of their oldest son, RZA. She and the rapper took turns carrying the kids and at one point she walked with nine-month-old Riot, her second son, in her arms. The family appeared to have stopped by The Color Factory children’s art museum in SoHo and the singer wore a fashionable look for the outing.
On top, the ANTI singer wore a silver and teal corset with a tulle fringe under a fuzzy jacket wrap with dramatic lapels and gray leather gloves. She had on over-sized denim pants that just revealed nude heels as she walked and a pair of oval sunglasses. The star’s blonde hair was left down in a straight curtain and she wore dark red lipstick and a pendant choker.
Rocky was also wearing blue jeans with a plain white T-shirt and striped button-down on top. Both kids were in denim jackets as well. An insider recently told People some details about the couple’s relationship since having children.
“They have always had a solid friendship and the romance just enhanced that…family comes first,” they said.
A second source stated that Rihanna “is all about motherhood.”
“She brings the kids on every trip, including work trips,” they said. “The kids come with her everywhere. She never complains that she’s tired. She seems to just love life.”
The insider added that the couple is “doing great” and that Rocky is “such a fun dad.”
“They’re doing a great job raising their kids,” they said. “He’s very supportive of Rihanna, too. They’re both extremely driven and hard-working. He’s the same way—you’ll never hear him complain. They’re amazing together. Rihanna truly seems the happiest.”
Another source added, “They spend as much time with their kids as possible and truly enjoy being parents. They are very happy in this phase of their relationship.”
Rihanna herself has said how much motherhood has become her priority, telling E! News in April, “It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom. I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman and female and all my femininity. I embrace it so much more now.”
She added, “They bring purpose to every aspect of my life. Everything has to be intentional, and everything has to be worth it—especially when it takes me away from them.”
