Despite Page Six’s initial report that Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper would be making their red carpet debut on Oscars night, the model will not be joining him in Los Angeles after all. A source explained to Entertainment Tonight why she is skipping.

“Gigi is not attending the Oscars with Bradley and will be at home with her daughter [Khai, 3, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik],” the source said.

A second source shared that Hadid and Cooper do have a strong relationship, though. “Bradley and Gigi are both genuinely so happy,” that insider said. “They’re having a great time together, doing well as a couple, and co-parenting healthily on both sides.”

“Everyone is getting along, and it’s a good dynamic among all the parties,” they continued. “Zayn is continuing to be involved as a dad. Irina [Shayk, Cooper’s ex with whom he shares 6-year-old Lea] is still doing her own thing and is happy in her own life. Everyone’s being mature and focusing on their kids.”

Page Six first reported that Cooper and Hadid planned to “hard launch” their relationship during Oscars night, at the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party. The story was updated later to say that Cooper was not expected to attend the party and would be having a quiet night with his mom. Multiple sources told Page Six that it was unclear at that point whether Hadid would join them.

One source who knows Hadid did tell Page Six that their relationship has escalated, regardless of their plans: “It’s definitely getting more serious, they are totally into each other.”
