Actress Jennifer Coolidge has been a scene stealer in every movie and TV show she appears in the last few decades, but she had a particular resurgence with her role as Tanya in HBO’s The White Lotus. For that character portrayal, she won two Emmy awards in 2022 and 2023 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (2022) and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (2023). Fans old and new are now even more curious about Coolidge and who she is when she’s not being hilarious on screen.

The American Pie star keeps her private life fairly private, so there are only a few known public relationships Coolidge has had. However, she has talked a lot about being single and looking for love as a person with a pretty unique life. Here’s what we know about Coolidge’s dating history.

What has Jennifer Coolidge said about dating?

In an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2020, she joked of her American Pie role as Stifler’s Mom, “I have to say the movie has helped me out in a lot of ways. There’s always someone who has seen that movie lately, and so then you get a whole new group of young guys. I’m single, so I’m really using it to my advantage.”

But as far as anyone in the public knows, Coolidge is currently single. During a press interview at the 2022 Emmys, Access asked who she was interested in, if anyone.

“Well, I was very excited about somebody—I can’t say their name—but I found out today he’s dead,” she said.

In 2023, Coolidge got a bit more serious. In an interview with Page Six, the Zoolander star said, “I live a secluded life in New Orleans, and I only know the people I meet on the job and my friends from The Groundlings [theater school]. I’ve never found anyone quite right for myself. I haven’t found the love of my life.”

“I think I made some bad decisions. It makes you insecure and you don’t think you’re great,” Coolidge added. “Many people can come up to you at the airport…people come up when they have nothing else to do, they say very nice things to you, and people in Hollywood come up and say ‘You’re great,’ but the only way you know they mean it is if [they] give you a job.”

Soon after, she told Time magazine that dating isn’t at the forefront of her mind.

“There was just like, a giant chunk of my life that was wasted on trying to get boyfriends who didn’t want me, instead of just, you know, taking care of business and, and working on my own thing,” she explained. “I think we have to really take care of ourselves and get our own thing going. And then if a guy comes in, it’s all great. Or if a guy doesn’t come in, it’s all great.”

So, who has Jennifer Coolidge dated?

Well, there are only a few people that she is known to have had relationships with.

Chris Kattan, 2001

Kattan wrote in his 2019 memoir, Baby Don’t Hurt Me, that he was in love with Coolidge, when she co-starred in A Night at the Roxbury, according to Nicki Swift.

He wrote, “Jennifer Coolidge was a tall, messy, sexy, tough, charmingly crass Boston native bombshell.”

The love he had bloomed in the late 1990s, and dating rumors circulated in 2001, but Kattan said that things didn’t last long. Their relationship was “deteriorating” around the time they filmed the hit movie with Will Ferrell.

Banks McClintock, 2004-2005

In 2004, an interview with Coolidge by the New York Times referenced actor Banks McClintock, saying, “Her live-in boyfriend and writing partner, Banks McClintock (the two have founded the inevitable production company), had brought over both a glass of pink lemonade and a glass of Chardonnay for Ms. Coolidge, along with a bowl of potato chips.”

McClintock has two credits on IMDB, Not Another Teen Movie (2001) and Cherish (2002).

Tom Mahoney

There have been rumors that Coolidge married a man name Tom Mahoney, but there seems to be no evidence of this on social media, and she’s ostensibly single now.
