Eleven years into her relationship with Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes is still finding ways to keep the romance alive.

This morning, the Hitch star—who was raised by Cuban parents in Miami—shared a photo of herself on Instagram showing off her new inner-wrist tattoo. The design spells “de Gosling” and is evidently a sweet ode to the actress’s longtime love.

In Hispanic culture, when a woman gets married to a man, the husband’s last name is often added onto the woman’s original name using “de” or “of.” So Mendes’s name could be Eva Mendes de Gosling.

Though it is not clear whether Mendes and Gosling are married, the actress’s tattoo is still a romantic gesture symbolizing their commitment to one another—or a clue that they are, in fact, hitched.

Mendes could also be saying that she is “of” Gosling or belongs to Gosling, because they are soulmates.

The Girl in Progress star—who in the photo looks lovely in a lemon yellow strapless top, blue headscarf with a geometric print, and gold hoops—simply captioned her post, “🖤⚔️🖤.”

Gosling and Mendes first got together in 2011 after the actor suggested Mendes be hired as his onscreen love interest in The Place Beyond the Pines. Weeks into filming, the two were already in a serious relationship. In 2012, they made their red-carpet debut, and in 2014 welcomed their first child, daughter Esmeralda. In 2015, Gosling famously described his partner as his perfect woman, saying in an interview with Hello! Canada that what he looks for in a woman is “that she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.” In 2016, the pair welcomed their second daughter, Amada.
