On Saturday, Selena Gomez was enjoying a day out in New York City when she found herself on the perfect street corner. Honoring her Alex Russo character, Gomez posted a tribute to her Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place.

“Where it all began,” she wrote in the caption of a photo in which she is looking up at the “Waverly Place” street sign on the corner of the block.

In the image, Gomez is wearing an oversized, white pullover and patterned pants with a black bag crossing her body. In 2007, Gomez was cast in the lead role of Wizards of Waverly Place, which ran for four seasons, ending in 2012. This was after her run on Barney & Friends which also starred Demi Lovato, but Wizards is what really kicked up her celebrity status.

Since her time on television, Gomez has become a huge pop star, started her own makeup brand, Rare Beauty, and begun her own mental health support platform, Wondermind. On November 4, she will be releasing her new documentary, My Mind & Me, which shows both the physical and mental health struggles Gomez has faced over the last several years.

“My whole life since I was a kid I’ve been working,” Gomez said in first trailer for the Apple TV+ film. “And I don’t wanna be, like, super famous. But I do know that if I’m here I have to use that for good.”

She continued, “I am happier and I’m in control of my emotions and thoughts more than I have ever been.”

Gomez has openly discussed her lupus diagnosis and bipolar diagnosis on social media, and says in her trailer, “I am grateful to be alive… Let me make a promise. I am going to stop living like this. How do I learn how to breathe my own breath again?”
