On Friday, Kristen Stewart stunned in Chanel attending the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. The 31-year-old actress was accepting the American Award at the Arlington Theatre, and swept down the red carpet in a long sheer gown, exposing her taught torso which was emphasized by the black and white ombre skirt. Her black bra was visible through the overlay, which rose all the way up into a mock turtleneck.

The dark material of her dress made her bright blonde ponytail pop, and her simple makeup look featured a coral lip, smokey eyeliner, and shimmering silver shadow. Two tendrils of hair were left down to curl around her rosy cheeks.

The award Stewart accepted recognizes talent for outstanding achievement in American Film. Actress Charlize Theron presented her with the prize.

“Thank you for acknowledging me at this time in my life,” Stewart said during the ceremony. “I’m in such a good place to receive it.”

Theron has worked on set with Stewart, as they played rivals in the film Snow White and the Huntsman.

“You have a real commitment and it shows in everything you do. It’s been so fun to watch the trajectory of your career,” said Theron. “Your most recent film, Spencer, I have to say is my favorite work of yours to date. It’s not an easy task to take on the most iconic figure in modern history, but you let us into this character. You gave us a glimpse into her soul in the most tactful and heart wrenching way.”

The actress has been receiving quite a lot of accolades lately, receiving the award for Best Actress in Pablo Larraín’s Spencer at the fifth annual Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Film Awards last week. Stewart plays Princess Diana in the film, and told the audience during her acceptance speech that the role was life-hanging, especially because of the connection she felt to Diana, saying she was a “human being and figure” who was “completely alone.”

“I f-cking appreciate this, seriously,” she said.
