As a self-diagnosed leather pants stan, I might be biased here, but I believe in my heart of hearts that everyone needs a pair. So, as an adult, I’ve traded my boat shoes for lug sole boots—though they would not have been uniform compliant—that offer more traction. I recommend a weatherproof option that can withstand rain, snow, and ice.

Turtlenecks are the hero of winter layering. Whether you’re bundling up before hitting the slopes, adding warmth under a sweatshirt, or shielding your skin from that scratchy sweater, your winter capsule needs at least one of these bad boys.
