In a twist no one saw coming, two new players entered The Traitors castle. The Challenge’s Wes Bergmann and Big Brother’s Derrick Levasseur, two reality television heavy-hitters, descended upon the game.
In the first episode of the new season, the all-star cast of The Traitors was given the choice to either welcome or exile Survivor winner Rob Mariano. If any player made the choice to welcome him, they would then get the opportunity to oust another contestant. No one took host Alan Cumming up on his offer, and thus, Mariano was exiled (notably not murdered or banished, both synonymous with eliminated in The Traitors).
At the end of the first episode, after Traitors Danielle Reyes, Bob the Drag Queen, and Carolyn Wiger murdered former Real Housewives of New York star Dorinda Medley, the camera cut to Cumming, who revealed that the journey was in fact not over for Mariano. He would be entered into the game the following episode, as a Traitor. However, two other contestants would join as well, as punishment for the castle’s choice. Two masked figures then approach, completely cloaked and hidden from sight.
After Mariano and the two masked men are locked in cages, Bergmann and Levasseur are revealed to be the cloaked figures. Both will be Faithfuls, and their affiliations are kept secret from one another. Neither know Mariano is a Traitor. In the second episode, all three enter the game during the challenge, and they are granted immunity from murder and banishment until the third round of eliminations.

Wes Bergmann
Considered one of the great players in the history of The Challenge, Bergmann began his reality television journey on The Real World: Austin. A Kansas native, he has since competed in The Challenge, including its spinoffs, 20 times. Bergmann won The Duel, Rivals II, and All Stars 3 and has become a beloved fixture of the franchise. He’s known for his comedic chops, political power plays, and physical ability.
Bergmann retired from The Challenge in 2023, but he has since been getting around the reality television circuit. He placed second on E!’s House of Villains and is currently competing on Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America Celebrity Edition: Heroes vs. Villains. On The Challenge, Bergmann holds the record for most consecutive elimination wins by a male contestant, clocking in eight. Bergmann is a formidable competitor, however, with no one else in the cast coming from The Challenge, he could find some safety in the unknown.
Derrick Levasseur
Best known for winning Big Brother 16, Levasseur’s game has been studied by later contestants, with many calling him a true mastermind. Competing on the same season as Frankie Grande, Levasseur quickly formed a dominant alliance and final two plan. He then executed his blueprint, winning the show and nabbing a $500,000 check. Levasseur also kept from his fellow contestants in the dark about one key detail: In his outside life, he was a police officer Somehow, the private eye used his sleuthing skills to walk circles around the other contestants, all while keeping them all on his good side. He won the game in a 7-2 jury vote, having never been up for elimination prior, and cementing him in the Big Brother hall of fame.
Since, Levasseur has begun hosting a Big Brother podcast called The Winner’s Circle with his final two alliance member Cody Calafiore, who went on to win Big Brother 22, an all-stars season.The Rushmore-level player is known for his quiet but effective strategy, and with many other Big Brother players in the house (including one as a Traitor), he’s sure to be a threat.
