Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, welcomed their baby boy last month. A source spoke to People yesterday about how the new parents, both 34, are doing.

“They waited a long time to get pregnant, so it was almost unbelievable when the baby actually arrived,” the insider said. “They’ve both been settling into being parents.”

The lifestyle seems to suit them: “They’re homebodies so it’s been lovely to spend the time just them, at home with him,” the source shared. “They’re so happy.”

Robbie and Ackerley have not disclosed their son’s name or birth date. However, they have been seen out two times since Robbie gave birth. Robbie was most recently photographed on Sunday, wearing a crop top and shorts while with her son at Soho House’s Little Beach House in Malibu.

In January, Robbie and Ackerley spoke glowingly to Variety about working with each other. The couple co-founded their production company, LuckyChap, with their friend Josey McNamara.

“Our superpower is, frankly, your work ethic,” Ackerley said, looking at Robbie during the three founders’ joint interview. “We always say unless the actor and director want to work as hard as the rest of the executives, it’s not gonna happen. And she works harder than everyone.”

It’s also because the three of us are so close,” she added. “I don’t know how you would do it if your producing partners were just business associates or colleagues. It’d be really tricky if there wasn’t friendship at the core.”
