The Final Power Rankings of The Umbrella Academy’s Hargreeves Siblings

Oh, Luther. What an arc you’ve had. A lovable oaf, Luther (Tom Hopper) struggles this season to make significant waves. He doesn’t make much of an impact, and even though he’s all gung-ho about the Hargreeves siblings, his suggestions are often silly and unreasonable. He just can’t seem to do anything right this season, and no one can seem to take him seriously, landing him in last place.

Constantly made fun of by his siblings, Diego (David Castañeda) lost his coolness and groove this season. Castañeda’s performance is excellent, but the character itself struggled. Also, deciding to fight Five instead of the giant monster at the end of the series? C’mon. Your relationship based insecurities are never worth that.

Another fan favorite, Klaus (Robert Sheehan) had a tough season. He almost felt like an abandoned character. At one point, I even forgot that he couldn’t technically die (he can be erased from history, though). His storylines this season seemed to be side quests, rather than serving the main plot, but he was still as fun as can be. He also didn’t harm the cause of his siblings, which is why he ranks above the final two Hargreeves.

Oh Allison Hargreeves, how the mighty fall. Originally a fan-favorite character, Allison, played by Emmy Raver-Lampman, became a villain at the end of the third season. She has a somewhat successful redemption arc in the fourth season of the show, focusing on her daughter, Claire, and Klaus, and her power is still the most slay of all.

Viktor (Elliot Page) was perhaps the most steadfast in their commitment to the family by the end. Working to save Ben until the last possible moment, their commitment to the family was unmatched (even if, at the beginning, they were avoiding their family members at all costs). While Viktor didn’t have the largest role in the final situation, their gumption and drive goes unmatched.

Ben Hargreeves (Justin H. Min) was key to the season, falling in love with Jennifer and bringing about the end of the world. Succumbing to the durango, Ben eventually became the Cleanse himself, meaning that this Hargreeves child (who is actually from a different timeline than all the rest, remember?), did wind up wielding quite a lot of power at the end—just in a four horsemen of the apocalypse kind of way. So while he was strong and important, he was also the reason for the end, placing him in a cool number three.

As always, Five (Aidan Gallagher) served as the voice of reason for this season of The Umbrella Academy. Figuring out the grand mystery of the show (that they all had to essentially cease to exist to stop the end of the world once and for all), Five is the reason the siblings were able to put the puzzle together. After convincing the family to give into the durango, he also settled his score with Diego, after falling in love with his wife, Lila Pitts. The fan-favorite character comes in an easy second.

It’s almost funny that the winner of the season turned out to be Lila Pitts, played by Ritu Arya, who was not an original member of the Umbrella Academy. Though she wasn’t raised as a Hargreeves, but eventually married in through Diego, she had an incredible season. She, too, was originally infected by the marigold, however she wasn’t adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, making her a true contender for the crown. Often feeling like the focal point of the season, she had two men (Five and her husband, Diego) and was the deciding voice on if all of the siblings should give in to the durango and disappear from the planet. Without Lila’s decision to put her family on the subway and sacrifice herself, the world truly would have never been saved. Lila supremacy, all the way.
