Tonight, Page Six ran another report claiming that Travis Kelce is planning to pop the question to Taylor Swift soon. For the first time, the NFL player’s rep set the record straight on the marriage talk.

A “Kelce insider” told Page Six, “The engagement is happening soon.” In the same article, the outlet included a response from Kelce’s rep who denied “any official engagement plans” are in place.

This is not the first time a Page Six report about Kelce and Swift getting engaged has been shut down. After the outlet ran a report in December alleging Kelce was planning to propose imminently, a source told The Messenger, “There are no plans for an engagement anytime soon. There is no engagement at this time.”

In late May, a source spoke to Us Weekly about Kelce’s stance on proposing. “Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” the insider revealed. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

They added that although Kelce really cares for Swift, “he’s just not there yet.”

The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. They are currently apart, as Kelce is at training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs and Swift is finishing the European leg of her Eras Tour.

In late July, a source told People that the couple was focused on making their long-distance relationship work. “It’s definitely tough to be apart but they do everything they can to make it work and show up for each other,” the source said. “They’re so in love and very, very happy together. All their friends and family can see it.”

Swift finishes the European leg of her tour on August 20 and is expected to join Kelce in Kansas City, Missouri, after. After that, she will be on a tour break until mid-October, when she performs in Miami.
