Spoilers ahead.
It seems as if the Bridgerton clan gets bigger every season. With new marriages and more babies each chapter, the family only continues to expand. So much so that, as you binge the Netflix series, perhaps over a warm cup of tea, you might find yourself wondering, “What’s the birth order of the Bridgerton children again?” or “Wait, whose baby is that?” Fear not—we’ve got you covered.
Here, we delineate the Bridgerton family as it stands by the end of season 3—consider yourself warned about spoilers!—from parents Violet and Edmund (RIP), to their children, and their own children after that. Note, this is based on the family in the television adaptation rather than in Julia Quinn’s books, which are slightly different.
Edmund Bridgerton
Though he doesn’t appear in the series (outside of flashbacks), Edmund’s influence is all over the Bridgerton. He swept Violet off her feet young and welcomed eight children with her, but died of a bee sting before their youngest child was born.
Violet Ledger, the Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton
The warm and welcoming matriarch of the Bridgerton family, Violet (Ruth Gemmell) shares eight children with her late husband, Edmund. She’s childhood friends with Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte.
Anthony Bridgerton
The oldest of his siblings, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) shoulders the responsibilities as viscount, taking after his father. Though he was originally set to marry Edwina Sharma, he strikes up an irresistible enemies-to-lovers romance with her half-sister, Kate.
Kate Sharma, Viscountess Bridgerton
Anthony’s wife Kathani, a.k.a. Kate (Simone Ashley), is a protective older sister and an avid horseback rider. Orphaned as a child, she was raised by her stepmother Lady Mary Sheffield Sharma. While settling into viscountess duties, she became pregnant with her and Anthony’s first child.
Unnamed Baby Bridgerton
Anthony and Kate’s baby has not arrived yet, but will be born in India, thanks to the parents-to-be’s upcoming travels.
Benedict Bridgerton
Benedict (Luke Thompson) is an artist with an adventurous side. The second-oldest Bridgerton child is not yet married; for now he is enjoying his freedom.
Colin Bridgerton
Colin (Luke Newton) is the third oldest of the Bridgerton siblings and, by the end of season 3, husband to Penelope Featherington. He took some time off to travel across Europe and has a knack for writing, making him the perfect match for the secret columnist.
Penelope Featherington
The scribe behind Lady Whistledown, Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) is the youngest daughter of Lord and Lady Featherington, following her two older sisters: Prudence and Philippa. Long before she was married to Colin, she entered the Bridgerton circle as Eloise’s best friend.
Baby Lord Featherington
Penelope and Colin welcome a son, whom her mother Portia calls “the new Lord Featherington,” but his real name isn’t revealed yet.
Daphne Bridgerton
Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) is the fourth Bridgerton child and the oldest daughter. As the first to make a debut in society, she had trouble attracting suitors, but a scheme planned with the Duke of Hastings aimed to get her more attention. However, they ended up falling in love for real. They share a son, August, together.
Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings
The moody, smoldering Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page) entered the dating pact with Daphne to avoid the nosy mothers of the ton, but he ended up, well, burning for her in the end. While he grew up with a distant father, and his mother passed away, Lady Danbury stepped in as a parental figure.
August Hastings
Nicknamed Augie, he’s the firstborn child of Daphne and Simon.
Eloise Bridgerton
Eloise (Claudia Jessie), an avid reader with spunk, is not romantically linked to anyone at the moment, but if you’ve read the books, you know her turn is coming. She’s the fifth Bridgerton child and best friends with Penelope Featherington.
Francesca Bridgerton
Portrayed by Ruby Stokes in the first two seasons before switching to Hannah Dodd in season 3, Francesca is the sixth Bridgerton child. Though introverted, she’s a music lover and shares that passion with her husband John Stirling.
John Stirling, Earl of Kilmartin
The kind and gentle Earl of Kilmartin (Victor Alli) wasn’t the Queen’s first choice for her “diamond” Francesca, but he’s the perfect fit for her. He’s also fond of music and sitting in silence. His cousin, Michaela Stirling (Masali Baduza), joins at the end of the season.
Gregory Bridgerton
The youngest of the Bridgerton sons and second-youngest sibling is Gregory (Will Tilston), a fan of chess and his bow and arrow—if he can remember to use it outside the house.
Hyacinth Bridgerton
Portrayed by Florence Hunt, she’s the youngest of the Bridgerton siblings. While she seems more preoccupied by getting new sisters into the family so far, according to the books, she’ll get a romance of her own, too.
