Anya Taylor-Joy went from channeling Greek goddess Athena in Australia to dressing like a princess in France for her latest Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
The actress stepped out in a nude strapless ball gown by Christian Dior for the red carpet screening of the film on the second night of the festival. Taylor-Joy’s platinum hair was styled in an elegant bun. In terms of accessories, Taylor-Joy kept the focus on her elaborate diamond necklace and stud earrings from Tiffany & Co. A statement red lip tied the look together.
This is Taylor-Joy’s fifth look at the Cannes Film Festival. During her first two days there, she stepped out in a gold, asymmetrical Atlein dress, a Damson Madder blouse and miniskirt, and a sheer Jacquemus dress with a white bodysuit. She wore a red lip with each look.

In our June/July cover story, Taylor-Joy spoke to ELLE about how her role as Furiosa pushed “the boundary of what my body and mind could do.” Taylor-Joy spent six months shooting the project in Australia and discussed the isolation she felt. “I was driving through the streets of Sydney [on my 3 A.M. rides to set and felt] like, ‘I’ve not seen a single person in months. I haven’t seen anybody who doesn’t look like they’re in the Wasteland. I’ve been living in an alien world.’”
But she wanted “to really understand grit in a different way,” she explained. “Because I knew that I had it. But I understood that in isolation, I was going to really experience it. Okay, you’re in a house in the middle of nowhere with just your thoughts and this character. How do you cope with that? And when you don’t have comfort around you—when there’s nothing that you can turn to for distraction—how are you going to experience that?”
