Travis Kelce flew more than 11 hours to attend Taylor Swift’s final Paris Eras Tour show this weekend. While Kelce is currently shooting the Ryan Murphy series Grotesquerie in California, he made sure to head to the French capital to catch his girlfriend’s performance, dancing in the stands alongside Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper. (The two couples also recently went on vacation together.)
At the concert, Swift ended up giving Kelce a special tribute on stage. During the surprise song portion of the show, she said, “I always do two different songs during the acoustic section. One is on guitar. One is on piano, and I switch it up every single night, because here on the Eras Tour, we feel like every single night should be special and different than every other night. Can you believe this is our 87th show on the Eras Tour?”
She then started playing “The Alchemy,” one of the songs off her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, believed to be about Kelce. She mashed it up with “Treacherous” from her album Red, another one of her poignant love songs that captures the experience of falling for someone.
If Swift had done this tribute at any show Kelce attended, it would’ve been sweet. But choosing to perform it during the 87th show is, of course, an Easter egg, as Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs jersey number is 87.
It marks one of the most romantic moments of her tour so far, if not her entire performing career.
Kelce hasn’t spoken about the tribute or concert yet, but given his track record of sharing details about the Eras Tour shows he attends on his podcast, New Heights, there’s a good chance he’ll talk about his Paris experience soon.
Shortly after The Tortured Poets Department came out, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how Kelce felt about Swift’s songs that seem to reference him. “Travis is so supportive of the entire album and loves that he is a part of Taylor’s story,” the insider said. “He is a Swiftie through and through, and is very proud of her.”
