Zendaya and Tom Holland have been dating since at least 2021, but the timeline is a bit murky before that. They met as co-stars on the set of Spider-Man, and though there were rumors early on that they were developing a romantic relationship, they kept their private lives private. Their couplehood was only revealed after some paparazzi photos caught them kissing at a stoplight in Los Angeles.

Though the pair are much more open about being together now, they have rarely shared clarifying information on when they really got together. But on the April 18 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Zendaya seemed to offer a clue.

“Tom and I were rushing to a spin class—with my mother,” she said. “I was not going to do the spin class, he was going to do the spin class. Cause I don’t do that… But, we were going a little fast, we were running late. And they recognized that he was Spider-Man and, uh, we were fine. We got our warning and everything was okay.”

Not much info to go on, but nothing escapes the attention of fans. Just after the interview aired, a fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “the spin class in question help. THEY WERE BABIES.”

They then shared a video of Holland leaving a spin class with Zendaya’s mom, Claire Stoermer, that was reportedly taken in 2016. In the video, Zendaya asks Holland, “How’d you do?” as he leaves the spin room, and he answers, “Shut up.”

So, the couple may have begun dating in 2016, or at least hanging out pretty intimately beginning then. However, in 2020, Zendaya supposedly dated her Euphoria co-star Jacob Elordi. Holland was also romantically linked to Nadia Parkes and Olivia Bolton that year. They could have potentially take a break, or not been official until later.
