Sources have made it clear that Kourtney Kardashian marrying and welcoming another child with Travis Barker hasn’t been easy for her ex-partner and the father of her three other children, Scott Disick, to watch. Following the birth of Kardashian and Barker’s first child, a son named Rocky, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the state of Disick and Kardashian’s relationship.
“Scott is doing his best to keep things balanced in terms of co-parenting and making sure to be present and communicative,” the source said. “He’s continuing to fulfill all his responsibilities and be a great father to his kids.” Kardashian and Disick share 14-year-old Mason, 11-year-old Penelope, and 9-year-old Reign.
Barker and Kardashian, meanwhile, are on cloud nine, the source said, describing the two as feeling “over the moon” about parenthood. They “could not be more elated that they share a child of their own together. Kourtney and Travis already had an unbreakable bond, but having a baby together has brought them even closer and made them fall even more in love,” the source explained. “This experience has solidified their feelings that they were destined to be together.”
The source also detailed what kind of partner Barker is to Kardashian now: “Travis loves to shower Kourtney with gifts, but is also there for her on a deep level. He is an incredibly dedicated father and partner. They’re so excited to experience this new chapter together and unite their families even more.”
As for Disick and Kardashian, the last update on their relationship came on September 13 when a source explained to Entertainment Tonight that Disick was respectfully keeping his distance from her.
“Scott has been very low-key lately and focusing on himself and his kids,” the source said. “He’s been spending more time in Miami and doing his own thing. Scott tries to be as supportive of Kourtney as possible, but also knows that it’s best to keep his distance, especially during a stressful time with her recent [emergency fetal] surgery.”
“Scott and Kourtney are not as friendly as they used to be, so he tries to be respectful and give her space, while also being there for her and the family,” the source said.
