This week, Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz revealed they were engaged after two years together. Following the news, Tatum is reportedly “excited” about the next step in his relationship, according to a source speaking with People. They emphasized the time it took for him to recover from the end of his marriage to Jenna Dewan in 2019.
“It took him a while to feel happy and to find a new life,” said the insider. “He can’t stop smiling around [Kravitz]. They are very cute together.”
The pair met after Tatum joined the cast of Kravitz’s directorial debut, Pussy Island. In the movie, Tatum plays a philanthropist and tech mogul who connects with a Los Angeles cocktail waitress, according to Deadline. The film also stars Naomi Ackie, Christian Slater, Alia Shawkat, Geena Davis, Haley Joel Osment, and Kyle MacLachlan.
In August 2021, dating rumors started circulating after they were seen peddling around New York City together on the same bike. They have mostly been keeping their relationship private, but on Saturday, October 28, the couple attended Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party together in a couple’s costume. Kravitz played Rosemary and Tatum played Rosemary’s baby, from the iconic horror film.
In November 2022, Kravitz told GQ about working with Tatum.
“He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do,” she gushed. “We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”
She went on, “Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever—he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet…I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”
