Emma Watson brought some rom-com star energy to Prada’s show at Milan Fashion Week today. She was seen stepping out in a fresh take on one of the most classic looks of film genre and fashion itself: the little black dress.

Watson’s minidress featured a high-neck, with a flirty short hem. She accessorized minimally with matching black pieces, letting the dress be the focal point of her look.

For subtle feminine touches, Watson wore a black bow in her hair and pointed-toe heels. She carried a black bag from the brand in her arms to complete the outfit.

Watson is the face of Prada’s Paradoxe fragrance. She spoke to Harper’s Bazaar Australia last year about how she came to work with Prada on the perfume, saying that in a way, “we were manifesting each other.”

She explained that “something that really stuck out to me when I was sent the idea for the fragrance was that Prada is about upstream narratives. And I instantly thought, ‘Oh my god, that’s me, that’s how I feel. I feel like I’m always running against the current.’ Before Prada came to me with Paradoxe, I bought myself a pair of the future Prada X Raf Simons black combat boots for my 31st birthday. The reason I wanted to own these was because the design was so sexy, beautiful, cool and goes beyond comfort—it made me feel like I was going to get stuff done. I’m going to take on the world in his boots! Then a year later, Prada approached me with the fragrance. It was weird. It felt like we were manifesting each other.”
