Clare Waight Keller is Uniqlo’s latest designer collaborator. The 34-piece collection, titled Uniqlo : C, dropped today on Uniqlo’s website. It channels the same sleek minimalism that defined the British designer’s tenure at Chloé and Givenchy—and the wedding dress she designed for Meghan Markle in 2018.

“The collection is about bringing casual chic to an everyday, essential wardrobe. For me, that captures a modern, effortless sense of style—something I’ve done for years,” Waight Keller told Uniqlo. “C stands for multiple layers of things. Sometimes it’s connected to a collection I’m working on. Sometimes it’s just a spirit. It stands for casual and chic, city, clarity, connection, capsule, connectivity, creativity. And also, it stands for me.”

Each piece from the collaborative capsule collection is intended to be mixed, matched, and most importantly, layered: the lambswool half-zip sweater with the coordinating mini skirt, the sunny yellow cardigan with the pleated midi dress, the faux sherpa jacket and bucket hat. A color palette of rusty browns, rich blues, and lemon yellow makes it easy to pair items together transeasonally.

Designing for the mass market provided the designer with a new challenge, one she was excited to take on. “When you’re working at a different price point, the way the fabric translates is very important to achieve the right silhouette, and so this was a critical part of the work I did at the beginning. Really looking at what were going to be the most special fabrics and ones that would create the most successful and beautiful result for the price.”

Waight Keller’s faux leather take on the viral Uniqlo shoulder bag is one style that’s sure to sell out fast, especially thanks to its $40 price tag. Offered in four color options, the versatile Uniqlo bag pairs just as easily with the collection’s corduroy blazer and trousers as it does with the long-sleeve knit dress and knee-high boots.

Uniqlo : C provides fans of the designer with wardrobe building blocks they’ll wear for seasons to come at a price point that’s more attainable than other Clare Waight Keller designs. Items range from $30 wool baseball caps to $150 puffer coats, with most sweaters, dresses, skirts, and shoes priced around $60.

The collection is available online at Uniqlo.com (with select pieces available in Uniqlo stores nationwide) as of today, but there’s no telling how long items will stay in stock. And if previous Uniqlo designer collaborations with JW Anderson, Marni, Hana Tajima, and others are any hint, this won’t be the only installment of Uniqlo : C—but don’t let that keep you from shopping this debut capsule.
