Meghan Markle hasn’t officially returned to Instagram (yet). But the Instagram account Highbrow Hippie, run by Kadi Lee and Myka Harris, gave the internet a rare new selfie of the Duchess of Sussex at leisure. They wrote, “belated bday celebrations w/ these lovely muses. missing sweet @sergenormant.” Meghan appears with her arms wrapped around her friends, wearing a black tank and gold pendant necklace.
The sighting comes after Meghan was photographed out by paparazzi wearing a camel Max Mara coat and blue Hermès shawl in Montecito, California, on Thursday. Meghan celebrated her 42nd birthday earlier this month, with festivities reportedly including seeing the Barbie movie with friends and having a fancy dinner out with her husband Prince Harry.
People devoted its cover story to Meghan that week, with a family insider detailing what her marriage to Prince Harry is like. “They seemed really happy together,” the source said. “Harry seems to be embracing this life he has with Meghan and knows it’s a very different one than he had before, of course.”
“Meghan does seem to run the household and make the decisions, but it’s not that he bends for her,” the source continued. “It’s just a dynamic that works for them, and maybe one that he needs after everything he’s been through.”
Around that time, Page Six reported that Meghan had been gearing up to launch a new Instagram under the handle @meghan, which has no posts currently. The account now has over 67,700 followers, up from the 2,420 it initially had when Page Six first reported on its existence.
