Beyoncé brought a little fairytale fashion to her Hamburg, Germany show. The singer channeled Little Red Riding Hood in a custom Carolina Herrera red hooded minidress, seemingly in tribute to the fact the Brothers Grimm, who wrote one of the best known versions of the story, were German.
She dropped photos of the new look on her Instagram. Commenters caught the reference, with one writing, “Little Red Riding Hood COULD NEVERRRRRRRRRR.”
Another shared, “You better represent the originals writers of Lil Red Riding hood, Brothers Grimm, who are from Germany!!!! We love a Queen that knows her history!!!!” Beyoncé’s Instagram of that look got over 989,000 likes in its first 16 hours up.
That wasn’t Beyoncé’s only new look she shared from her German Renaissance world tour show. She also showed off a printed micro dress, with commenters noting that Bey had her dancers outfitted in matching looks from her Ivy Park brand. “How does it feel to be on your 6th solo tour, 20+ years in the game, a wife, a mother and to look out on to YOUR stage and see YOUR dancers wearing YOUR clothes from YOUR brand ?!” one fan wrote. “That has to feel absolutely amazing !! I’m so proud of you @beyonce 💛”
Beyoncé has shared outfits from her concert primarily with no captions attached. But for her Juneteenth concert in Amsterdam, she revealed that she wore all Black designers, including her own designs, on stage.
She wrote, “I started designing this collection over a year ago. I was so engulfed in all things RENAISSANCE and was inspired by Studio 54, Bob Mackie and the disco era. I wanted to do a modern twist using the signature IVY PARK neon and bring disco to the beach in this swim collection. I’m so happy to share this with you and even more proud to launch it for the first time on the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR. I’m proud to be among the very talented Black designers featured in last night’s show to celebrate Juneteenth.”
