The sixth season of Selling Sunset is shaking things up by introducing two new cast members: Nicole Young and Bre Tiesi. With Christine Quinn, Vanessa Villela, and Maya Vander all gone, Young and Tiesi bring the drama in new episodes of the Netflix hit. From feuds with existing cast members to dramatic revelations about their celebrity connections, Selling Sunset’s newest agents do not disappoint.
But who exactly is Bre Tiesi, and why does she look so familiar? Here’s what you need to know about Selling Sunset’s newest addition.
Bre Tiesi and Nick Cannon welcomed a baby together.
Bre Tiesi made headlines when she welcomed a baby with Nick Cannon on June 28, 2022, according to Page Six. Tiesi shared news of the birth of her son Legendary Love on Instagram, sharing that she had “an all natural unmedicated home birth.” She wrote, “This was the most humbling / limit pushing yet awakening and completely empowering experience… Daddy showed the f up for us.” While Legendary is Tiesi’s first child, Cannon is the father of twelve children.
Tiesi has often had to defend her unconventional relationship with Cannon, and the blended family they have built. Perhaps most importantly, Tiesi pointed out that she first met Cannon on the set of Wild ’N Out, meaning that their decision to have a baby together wasn’t necessarily unexpected. “Him and I have had our on-and-off for years,” Tiesi revealed in an interview with E! News’ Daily Pop. “And I just respect and love who he is so much as a person.”
In January 2023, Tiesi shot down suggestions that she was part of a “cult” or had undergone a “contract pregnancy” during an Instagram Q&A. She rebutted the question, writing, via Newsweek, “Y’all need help contract pregnancy… I love Nick I love the person he is and the father he is. Make up whatever u want to process and justify the unconventional relationship we ain’t bothered.”
She was married to NFL player Johnny Manziel.
Prior to having a baby with Cannon, Tiesi was married to NFL player Johnny Manziel. The couple married in March 2018 in a super-intimate wedding, which was reportedly attended by only two witnesses, according to People. However, Tiesi and Manziel split the following year, and in December 2019, Tiesi filed for divorce.
According to the New York Post, in March 2019 Tiesi reacted to comments regarding her split from Manziel on Instagram, writing, “I don’t do betrayal for a person I was devoted to period. Vows were broken.” In November 2021, Tiesi celebrated the finalization of her divorce with a party in Miami, complete with a cake featuring the message, “I do, I did, I’m officially done,” via Yahoo! Sport.
Bre started modeling as a teenager.
Before breaking into reality TV, Bre Tiesi worked as a model after being discovered as a teenager. “I had never in a million years even considered or thought about [modeling],” she told E! News in June 2022. “I actually started dating somebody and he was in the industry.” Tiesi was even able to land some big gigs, such as being the spokesmodel of Rockstar Energy for two years. She told E! News, “I just dove in and then from there it just kept rolling and carried on.”
Prior to joining Selling Sunset, Tiesi also made appearances on WAGS, Love & Listings, and Wild ‘N Out, making her more than ready for the Netflix show.
She’s committed to her real estate career.
Alongside her modeling career, Tiesi decided to acquire her real estate license, and she threw herself into the industry in a big way. “After the divorce, I really dove in and I have all these amazing clients with double-digit homes,” she told E! News. In fact, Tiesi’s early success as a real estate agent causes tension with Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Lazkani. While she keeps most of her celebrity clients private, Saweetie makes an appearance during season 6 as one of Tiesi’s clients.
Tiesi also revealed how she approaches her career in Los Angeles, telling E! News. “The hustle is a different level here… So you just gotta make it. How bad do you want it? Is your ego, your emotions, and your feelings more important than your success? Because mine wasn’t.”
Working out is a huge part of her life.
Alongside her modeling and real estate endeavors, Tiesi founded Body by Bre, a 12-week fitness and nutrition program aimed at encouraging others to work out. “I’ve always loved fitness,” she told E! News. “My dad was an MMA fighter and grew up in the gym and my mom is a nutritionist and has that whole side. That’s just always been such a huge part of my life that I didn’t even realize how lucky I was to grow up with.”
She’s embracing her new role on Selling Sunset.
While most people would be nervous about joining a reality TV show featuring so much drama, Tiesi seems to be taking it in her stride. “I’m a people person,” she told People. “I can fit in in any situation and I can be in any room. So I’m not intimidated at all. I think It’ll be interesting to see who I gravitate towards.”
Tiesi also suggested that fans wouldn’t be disappointed with her arc on the show, telling People, “For anyone that’s followed me, they know I’m a hate it or love it kind of gal. I’m definitely bringing my full personality. It’s gonna be a whole show, from fashion to drama.” Viewers will just have to see for themselves whether Tiesi finds her footing at The Oppenheim Group in Selling Sunset season 6.
