You know it’s serious when you’re taking your boyfriend to see your old school during the holidays. Zendaya and Tom Holland gave students and teachers at Oakland School for the Arts a real treat when they visited yesterday. The school shared a photo of the couple on its Instagram, and students and faculty also shared snapshots from the visit.
Theatre teacher Tavia Percia shared photos of Zendaya and Holland with students on her Instagram and astutely warned Holland to keep behaving himself. “It had been years🥲” Percia wrote. “Thank you for coming and talking with the babies. It was sooo nice to reconnect and catch up. Thank you for your kind words and letting these kids know that IM THAT GIRL AND THEY LUCKY TO HAVE ME AS THEIR CO-CHAIR😅😅😅😅Love you forever❤️ @zendaya Thanks for being so sweet @tomholland2013! You’re the best! I’m still watchin you tho👀🙃🤣”
Zendaya and Holland have been together for over a year although they’ve made a point to keep their relationship mostly private. Zendaya’s mom subtly shut down engagement rumors between the two at the beginning of this month, marking them off as clickbait.
The last outlet to report on the state of their relationship was Us Weekly, which claimed on Nov. 23 that Holland and Zendaya seem “serious and permanent,” per a source. “They’re both in settling-down mode and are absolutely planning for a real future together.”
Holland himself admitted to GQ last year that the two hadn’t really wanted to go public with their dating status. A video of them making out in a car outed their relationship.
“I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private, because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy,” he admitted of that video. “I don’t think it’s about not being ready [to share that we’re dating publicly]. It’s just that we didn’t want to.”
Regarding what he does share publicly about their romance, he said, “It’s not a conversation that I can have without her. You know, I respect her too much to say… This isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.”
