On Thursday, Jennifer Lopez posted a carousel of photos from a charity event poker night, and though her husband Ben Affleck was not technically in the photos, she did honor him with a piece of jewelry. The Marry Me star was wearing a white dress by Halston with a halter neck and a plunging white bodice, paired with a matching fuzzy white coat. She had her hair up in a sleek bun and was wearing drop earrings and a gold pendant.
Just above the pendant rested a sweet “Jennifer and Ben” necklace, spelling out the words for everyone to read.
She later changed into a little black dress and switched out her Affleck tribute for an ornate diamond necklace with matching earrings. This look was also accompanied by a fuzzy jacket, this time in black.
Lopez has been enjoying her references to her new husband, who she married in an elaborate ceremony in August on Affleck’s Georgia estate after a more casual Las Vegas wedding. While posing in her Intimissimi lingerie set on her couch, she sported a necklace in a similar style, this one only reading “Mrs.”
The couple were engaged for the first time almost 20 years before their marriage. They broke it off and eventually ended up in other relationships. Lopez had two children with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, 14-year-old twins Max and Emme. Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. Affleck and Garner divorced in 2015.
In her cover story for Vogue magazine this month, Lopez said of their reunion, “I always felt like there was a real love there, a true love there. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real.”
Lopez said they reconnected when Affleck reached out to her after a magazine asked him for a quote about her. He had nothing but warm words, and wanted to let Lopez know. They stayed in touch and a new relationship blossomed — or a continuation of the old one after a healthy pause.
