“When we set out to create this collection, we really wanted the pool lounger and accompanying beach towel to blur the lines between art, leisure and fashion,” says Jasmin Larian Hekmat, founder of and CEO of Cult Gaia, exclusively to ELLE, “resulting in the ultimate, must-have pool to poolside sculptural accessory.”
The results include an 11-foot-long swooped saddle lounge float designed by the FUNBOY team featuring a reissue of Cult Gaia’s graphic print “aloe multi” as well as other Cult Gaia-inspired accents like a circular float mid-section that’s reminiscent of the brand’s unique footwear. Shoppers can also purchase a plush 100% cotton fringe towel featuring the same print on one side with the collaboration logo on the other.
“Cult Gaia’s obsession with ‘Objects de art’ and the sculptural form they bring to fashion and accessories inspired us to create a shape worthy of the collab,” explains Blake Barrett, co-founder of FUNBOY on the collaboration exclusively to ELLE. “A float that was awe inspiring to look at, play with, and leisure on.”
