Amazon has long been our go-to online retailer for pretty much everything: fashion, home goods, general must-haves—and, of course, for all our beauty needs. Well today, they’re launching their very own beauty brand called Amazon Aware.

The environmental impact of every product they’ve created in the collection is top of mind. Each item has been given certifications by the Climate Friendly Pledge, a program launched by Amazon in 2020 to let consumers know that what they’re buying meets a high eco-conscious standard. “We are committed to creating programs that contribute toward a more sustainable future,” said Matt Taddy, vice president of Amazon Private Brands, in a statement. “We are excited to introduce Amazon Aware, as it’s another step that continues in our commitment to test, learn, and innovate, while offering low-priced, everyday essentials to our customers, all with third-party certifications featured in our Climate Pledge Friendly program.”

There are currently seven beauty products available to shop: Two moisturizers, two face cleansers, two body creams, and a body cleanser. All the products are under $20 and are fragrance-free, making them well-suited to anyone with sensitive skin. To reduce the use of plastics, the products are all housed in aluminum packaging, and four of the seven products available are refillable.

With nourishing ingredients like avocado oil, shea butter, vitamin C, and dermatologist-tested formulations, there are options available for people with dry skin, and those who may prefer lighter formulations. There’s no information yet on if the line will be expanding–but we’ll be testing these in the meantime.
