Selena Gomez may have opted out of attending the MTV VMAs and Met Gala this week in New York City, but the actress still had a major bombshell moment in Los Angeles. Gomez was photographed going out to The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, dressed for early fall. She wore a black turtleneck, leather mini skirt with a leg slit, and black pointy-toe shoes. She accessorized the look with a Prada handbag.

Gomez spoke to ELLE for its September issue about finding her Los Angeles-area home. “I tried out a bunch of different neighborhoods because I wanted to know what was going to make me feel comfortable in a city that doesn’t make me feel that comfortable,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I’ll try West Hollywood,’ but I was like, ‘No, that’s not my vibe.’ Then I moved to Calabasas, and I thought that would be nice and family-oriented, but it’s actually very overwhelming and trendy now. It took me a while to figure out what was best for me.”

Gomez spent part of 2021 in New York City, where she filmed Only Murders in the Building, which is now streaming on Hulu. The show was renewed for a second season earlier this week, meaning Gomez may return to the city to be on set soon. Of the news, she shared on her Instagram Story that she was “so ready for this!” Gomez also told ELLE in her interview that she loved working with her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. “I got to be in a space with so much wisdom,” she said.
